My compositions

These pieces reflect my work as a composer and performer, spanning classical piano, chamber writing, arrangements, and more experimental forms. I like to explore different genres and can write pieces fairly rapidly.

I usually come up with my ideas on the piano or guitar, but then I use a Presonus DAW to arrange the music: Notion 6 for Classical pieces and Studio One for Rock, acoustic, electronic etc.

Much of this music grows out of improvisation, teaching, and long-term collaboration, and I’m interested less in strict genre boundaries than in clarity of musical idea and emotional shape.

Classical compositions

New Beginning
00:00 / 04:07

This is a piece I composed on piano and later arranged it for full orchestra. It is the first full orchestral piece I have composed.

Forest of Tantrevalles
00:00 / 08:10

This is a trio for Piano, violin and cello. I have aimed to create a stately medieval atmosphere with a D minor drone, as well as exploring more exotic harmonies influenced by Romantic composers such as Rimsky-Korsakoff and Mussorgsky.

The poet and the sea
00:00 / 04:50

This is a piece I composed on piano and has been influenced by Rachmaninov Etudes Tableaux, especially Op39 no.2 which also evokes the seaside. The scene is in summer with a cool breeze, trees rustling, and birds darting around overhead.

Rock and Jazz compositions

Hotel Artemis by Evening
00:00 / 04:47

This is a light jazz piece, with seaside ambience (I grew up by the sea so it is a big driver in my music). It develops over an 8 bar chord progression, with gentle piano improvisations on top.

Old Stone Rock
00:00 / 02:52

This is an electronic rock piece based around a heavy riff and groove vaguely based on the old rock music from the 80s, such as Dire Straits, Rolling Stones.

Electronic compositions

Mythos
00:00 / 04:31

This has a few Indian themes in it, with instruments and harmonies, over a driving beat.
